Training company updates soldering and rework tools

Essex-based training company Advanced Rework Technology (ART), has invested over £30,000 in re-work, soldering and heat management tooling.

Kaisertech supplied the equipment, which includes JBC’s DMPSE 4 rework station with a desoldering module.

“The station [right] enables a user to operate four tools simultaneously,” according to ART. “Stackable modules help to conserve workspace, and a selection of compatible tools provide flexibility across multiple soldering and rework applications. JBC boasts well over 500 different shapes and tip geometries to choose from.”

Soldering and rework tools for small surface-mount devices and high power ground plane soldering were also supplied by Kaisertech.

For heat management, each JBC stand can detect when its tool has been replaces and enter sleep or hibernation – the aim is to extend tip life.
