At Electronica 2022 in Munich our Group Editor Clive Couldwell caught up with the electronics distributors Mouser Electronics and Farnell to discuss issues such as coping with chip shortages, inventory management, product life-cycles and new technologies…

Mark Burr-Lonnon, Senior VP EMEA, Asia and Global Service at Mouser Electronics, talks about passives and interconnects becoming more available, for example, but shortages are continuing for semiconductor lines.

This view was confirmed by Cliff Ortmeyer, Global Head of Technical and North America Marketing at Newark/Farnell, who see some shortages continuing through mid-2023. What’s the next evolution, he considers?
