What will the figures be. Ext year? Looking through comments on American websites yesterday after Tesla’s disappointing results the majority were from people saying they would (or in some cases had) bought any EV other than a Musk mobile . It seems Elon is
doing his best to wind up the people most likely to want to save the planet by buying an EV.
The FT this morning has as its lead story a tale of how Tesla and BYD are discounting prices in the wake of falling demand.
Are there any other EVs other than Muskmobiles and XiJinpingmobiles ? I thought most other brands were slowly discontinuing them as there was no demand.
Dozens from the likes of VAG, Kia, Nissan, and Jaguar. A car someone said they had bought specifically to avoid getting a Musk mobile was a Ford Mustang Mach-E. Someone else had bought a Hyundai Kona simply because they preferred the ca.
I think you’ll find many of those are unavailable at the moment, at least in the UK. Not the Nissan Leaf but that’s a different market. Also many of the dealers are not prepared to pay the cost of training their mechanics to deal with niche models with low sales.
Can’t we have some balanced journalism and list the figures for real cars as well ?
