Droidcon London 2019 returns 24 October

Just to flag one for your diaries: droidcon London is returning on Thursday, for its eleventh year. Welcome droidcon London 2019.

Droidcon London 2019 returns in the Autumn

This year the event – the UK’s largest Android event – takes place on 24-25 October 2019 (Thursday – Friday). The venue is the Business Design Centre in Islington.

Long-time readers of this blog will know I recommend the event to anyone interested in developing Android or even just learning more about the mobile or embedded platform. You can see the packed programme on UK.droidcon.com website.

Keynotes and talks

Keynote presentations include Christina Lee with “Coding Like an Athlete”, Joe Birch with “Building an Accessible Smart Guitar for the Deaf, Blind and Mute”, Stacy Devino with “Get Happy, Get Known” and Google’s own Chet Haase and Romain Guy with the droidcon London 2019 closing keynote.

Other talks and seminars range from machine learning and animation for Android to architecture components and unit testing, with biometric authorisations and scaleable UIs inbetween….

The organisers write:

This year, we’ll present once again two days packed with highly-technical talks from over 70 expert speakers.

Our droidcon London icons Chet Haase and Romain Guy will be back and we are also very excited to announce that Stacy Devino and Christina Lee will join us with Keynote talks!

The Call For Papers has now closed, and the Skills Matters team – the organisers of the event – are currently working on finalising talks.

Checkout the Droidcon website for latest pricing info.
