“An important feature of Hailo-8 AI accelerator and Hailo AI software suite is linear scaling of the inference performance simply by adding modules,” said Hailo product manager Dima Caplan. “SolidRun’s Edge AI platform exhibits ample system resources which enable high AI performance at scaling.”
The CPU cores run at up to 5GHz and the processor includes integrated graphics. On top of this, there are 20 native PCIe Gen4 lanes, plus two SODIMM slots for up to 64Gbyte of DDR5, three NVMe 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 spaces, dual 2.5Gbit/s Ethernet lines and four USB 3.2 ports.
Four displays can be driven: HDMI 2.1 and 3x DisplayPort 2.1, and there is are options on WiFi 6E plus BT 5.3, 5G or LTE modems.
“The CPU and all devices are passively cooled by the fanless cooling system in an industrial temperature range of -40 to 85ºC,” said SolidRun.
Input voltage can span 12 to 60V, and there are three case variants, all 160 x 130mm: 45mm wide for dissipating up to 30W by convection, 1.73mm wide for 60W, and an 29mm variant that needs conduction cooling. “Cooling innovations include liquid metal thermal interface material, 360° stacked heat pipes, a dual-layer chimney effect heat exchanger and thermal coupling of all internal devices,” said the company.
