DVCon Europe 2021 announces extra keynotes and a VR format

The Design and Verification Conference and Exhibition (DVCon Europe) takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday 26-27 October and SystemC Evolution Day will be Thursday 28 October.

The event, sponsored by Accellera Systems Initiative, the EDA standard organisation, will be a 3D VR environment. Avatars will mingle in a virtual conference centre, with tantalising glimpses of Munich to be seen through windows. This will be the venue for the web-based conference with areas for keynote presentations, panel discussions, meeting rooms and quiet areas for informal discussions, says the organiser.

This year, there will be four keynotes, double the usual number.  Joining Rashid Attar, vice president, Engineering, Qualcomm Technologies, and Satish Sundaresan, managing director, Elektrobit India, will be Dr Petra Färm (pictured) and Andreas Riexinger, product manager Automated Driving at Robert Bosch.  Rashid Attar’s keynote will be entitled ‘The Future of Hardware Innovations for AI Systems’, Satish Sundaresan will present ‘Take a Leap: Virtualization in Future Development’,  Dr Petra Färm (pictured),  talk show host at Tolpagorni Product Management, who worked as a product manager at Ericsson until 2018, will present ‘Speed Layers: Managing the exponential change of technology’ and Andreas Riexinger, product manager Automated Driving at Robert Bosch will present ‘The Mobility of the Future is Software Defined – can open technologies help?’

Panel discussion across the two days will focus on accelerating design verification and increasing productivity, with presentations sponsored by Intel, Mathworks and the Accellera System Initiative on the first day.
