Conrad Electronics’ sourcing platform has been expanded to include more products from Phoenix Contact for automation applcations..

The additional products include PLCnext Technology, the power supplies of the Uno, Trio and Quint power series as well as two Ethernet switches, FL switch SFNB 5TX and FL switch SFNB 8TX.

PLCnext Technology combines an open control platform, modular engineering software and cloud integration, and is designed to enable adaptation to changing requirements. phoenix

It supports  current and future communication standards, and several developers can work independently using their own preferred languages and tools.

The AXC F 2152 starter kit with pre-installed components is available to test PLCnext Technology in smaller applications.

This includes a controller for the Axioline I/O system, designed for use in harsh industrial environments. The controller features Profinet support, connection to Proficloud and support for protocols such as http, https, FTP, SNTP, SNMP, SMTP, SQL, MySQL and DCP. Up to 63 AXIO I/O modules can be connected directly.

Power supplies from the Quint, Trio and Uno series are also stocked. Depending on the chosen product, single-phase and three-phase power supplies of the Quint series use selective fuse breaking technology (six times the rated current for 12ms) and can trip standard circuit breakers.

Phoenix says this means faulty current paths are switched off selectively, faults are limited, and operation can continue in the important parts of the system.

Unmanaged Ethernet switches, such as the FL switch SFNB 5TX and FL switch SFNB 8TX in Conrad’s range, come with standard functions and 5 or 8 ports respectively. The switches are said to be suitable for industrial use. They feature an operating temperature range of 0-55°C and are IP20 rated.
