The open-drain output of AH1711Q, AH1712Q and AH1713Q will be switched on when applying a magnetic south pole of sufficient strength near the top of the package (perhaps with north below the package), while a north pole of sufficient magnetic strength will switch it off again.
AH1714Q works the other way around.
Typical figures are ±7G for AH1711Q, ±18G for AH1712Q and the inverted AH1714Q, and ±50G for the AH1713Q.
Inside is a chopper stabilised architecture with a bandgap regulator to provide a temperature-compensated on-die supply.
Operation is across 2.4 to 5.5V and -40 to +150°C, and abs max output current is 60mA.
Sensing bandwidth is typically 30kHz (20kHz min, square wave B≥ ±400G field), and there is typically a 10µs delay (20µs max) from the field crossing the threshold to the output changing.
Rise and fall time are typically 200ns and 100ns respectively (1kΩ and 20pF load).
The part is AEC-Q100 Grade 0 qualified, PPAP capable, and manufactured in IATF16949 certified facilities.
ESD is 8kV HBM (human body model) and 2kV CDM (charge device model).
Use is foreseen commutating brushless dc motors, measuring RPM, and sensing speed and angles, as well as in control knobs.
