Panel PC for access management available at Rutronik UK

Intelligent face recognition and sensor-controlled temperature recording are integrated in the Smart Panel PC MM8 from Holitech. It is now available from Rutronik UK. The PC is designed to integrate into existing systems to implement access management for private and public areas.

It integrates a touch display, a 2Mpixel camera, loudspeaker and temperature sensor. Data synchronisation is via specially developed software on an external server connected to the PC. Both an RS-232 and Wiegand interface are available for the output of commands to external devices.

Recognition time is less than 0.5 seconds, and, using the binocular infrared camera,  biometric data based on a stored profile is compared and detects changes in a person, too. Photos or videos are distinguished from real people and unauthorised visitors are denied access. There is the option to use with an intelligent voice output. The display can also act as an information board, advises Rutronik.

When used as an internal access management system, there is an optional smart card reader with a response time of 0.2 seconds. Additionally, ISO14443A and cloud connection tracks an individual’s presence in real time.

There is also a stand-alone version that is not connected to an external server. The 8Gbyte of internal memory has space for data of over 100,000 people. The USB interface allows easy data extraction for internal analysis.

Suitable applications are public transport, airports, hospitals and care facilities, as well as for access to corporate buildings and events.
