Infineon extends franchise with Future to Europe

Future Electronics is now franchised to sell Infineon products in Europe, after the semiconductor company extended its agreement beyond Asia and the Americas, covered in its previous agreement.

The distributor is also franchised to supply products from Infineon’s subsidiary, Cypress Semiconductor worldwide.

Future expects the Infineon portfolio of power, automotive, security, wireless semiconductors and microcontrollers to be used by customers in Europe working in industrial, automotive, medical, the IoT, consumer and lighting markets

The global agreement across the Infineon and Cypress brands provides a unified, worldwide operation based on a single IT infrastructure, says the distributor, for design support, sales and logistics for any customer, wherever they are based and no matter where development and production take place.

Future Electronics was a global partner for Cypress Semiconductor. “Now we are looking forward to leveraging Future Electronics’ market footprint and dedicated customer support across the complete Infineon portfolio,” said Mathias Roettjes, head of distribution partner management (EMEA) at Infineon.

“Future Electronics’ track record as a global partner for Cypress in recent years has given us the confidence to now extend the Infineon franchise to the EMEA region.”
