OEMs can used them to integrate camera functionality into products they are developing, advises the distributor.
It partnered with Shiratech Solutions to create the camera mezzanine cards which comply to the 96Boards specification. Each module is based on a CMOS image sensor from onsemi with a different set of capabilities – users can select functionality depending on the specific product requirements. The modules can be used for AI and machine vision, IoT devices and commercial and consumer security products.
The SRT-VISION96-AR043 has an AP1302 image signal processor (ISP) from onsemi. If the main processor does not have an integrated ISP, this IC performs sensor configuration and calibration, image format conversion, basic transformations and autofocus. The ISP supports onsemi image sensors up to 13Mpixels.
There is also an onsemi AR0430 sensor-based 4Mpixel resolution, full colour (RGB) 120 frames/second camera with an 80° field of view (FoV) and focus range from 100 mm to infinity. This feature is useful in consumer appliances as well as AI vision and access control.
For IoT applications requiring low power consumption and fast recording speeds, the SRT-VISION96-ARX3A0 uses the ARX3A0 0.3 MP 360 frames/second monochrome sensor.
The SRT-VISION96-AR1335 offers a 13Mpixel, 60 frames/second RGB camera. It is designed for digital still cameras as well as AI vision and body cameras.
The camera mezzanines can be plugged directly into compatible 96Boards baseboards and used with the accompanying driver and board support package.
The three modules will be available in Q1 2022 and can be combined with existing baseboards, the AI-ML, Avenger96, Dragonboard410c and THOR96.
