Southern Manufacturing & Electronics show preview: Powering ahead

Programmable DC power supplies, the TDK Lambda Genesys+ series, can be used in component, aerospace and automotive testing, semiconductor fabrication, water treatment, plating and solar array simulation (B180).

Efficiencies are up to 92%.

The 20 new high power models can be programmed to operate in constant voltage, constant current or constant power modes.

They also simulate an internal resistance for battery charging and long output cable voltage drop applications.

The units are available for use with three‑phase 170 to 265Vac, 342 to 460Vac or 342 to 528Vac inputs.

All models have an LCD with user‑controllable brightness and dimming functions.

They include faster up and down programming response times with user adjustable voltage and current slew rate control.

Two user programmable output open drain control pins can activate external devices, for example, load disconnect relays.

Arbitrary waveform profiles, such as car battery simulation at vehicle start up, of up to 100 steps can be generated and stored in four memory cells.

These can be activated by commands from the communication ports.

Standard-bearers

AC-DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, DC-AC inverters and displays are the focus for the Relec stand (D110).

In addition to standard products, the company can add value with options and enhancements and manufacturing services.

The portfolio includes products for rail applications which are compliant with national and international railway standards (EN50121-3-2 and EN50155).

Configurable units

Power supplies available through Luso Electronics (A125) include modular configurable units from Excelsys such as the fanless design CoolX range.

Industrial and medical products from Efore are also available.

These cover power requirements from 200W to 1,200W.

From Delta, the company offers products for industrial and medical requirements and the new PM80 series for EN50155 rail applications.
