“After a year of exceptional sales growth, we have relocated our sales, engineering and production facilities to larger premises and will be recruiting new staff at all levels including offering apprenticeships,” said MD Roy Phillips.
The 6,400ft2 site provides room for immediate production requirements of its RF, waterproof and cryogenic connectors as well as cable assemblies, plus room for growth.
“Despite enormous supply chain, delivery and logistics challenges during 2020, Intelliconnect has introduced a number of key new products including high density connector blocks and high specification cable products, and capitalised on a number of opportunities in cryogenic, defence, medical and marine applications worldwide,” according to the company, which listed wireless comms, IoT, Industry 4.0, quantum computing and research as growth markets.
The company made a number of strategic investments during 2020: appointing a global sales and marketing director to oversee all of its markets, and a UK sales manager to develop sales in the UK and Ireland, with emphasis on medical, industrial, test, measurement and cryogenic markets.
Also last year, it added ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditation to its existing ISO 9001:2015 quality standard and SC21 silver performance standard for the aerospace, defence, security and space industry supply chain programme.
“We are completely signed up to high quality, responsible and ethical manufacturing practices and to ensuring the best possible conditions in the workplace for all of our team,” said MD Phillips.
