It’s going to be an interesting year for sure, the capex numbers are astonishing.

DAVID – Based on the just released SIA’s FEB 2024 global chip sales the Cowan LRA forecasting model is predicting a full year 2024 global semiconductor sales result of $576.4 billion.

This newly projected sales forecast equates to a 2024 yr-o-yr sales growth prediction of 9.4% which is up slightly from last month’s result of 8.9% BUT lower than the WSTS’s Fall 2023 market forecast of 11.7% published in November 2023 AND adjusted for 2023’s ACTUAL sales number which was released at the beginning of Feb 2024.

NOTE – the original WSTS published yr-o-yr sales growth forecast was projected to be 13.1% which was based on a 2023 sales forecast of $520.13 billion while the actual 2023 sales, according to WSTS. came in at $526.83 billion, an increase of 1.3%.
