Scheduled to last one hour, the webinar will run on Wednesday 24 August at 10-11am (BST) for Asia and Europe (and 10-11am (PDT) for the Americas). It will be conducted by Rahul Dubey, an AI expert from Doulos.
Specifically, it will address “deploying new and traditional automation technologies coupled with edge AI applications”. It’s particularly aimed at engineers and developers working in the semiconductor sector who are considering using AI in constrained edge devices with limited storage capacity or power requirements
It will finish, say the organisers, with a real-world example featuring an NXP i.MX 8M Plus SoC working as an edge AI device. This will show how the device improves yarn dye shade consistency by using image classification, tracks yarn ropes using object detection, and classifies process parameters by flagging anomalies based on time series analysis.
The webinar is free to attend but you will need to register via the Doulos website.
Doulos is a training organisation for electronics industry and they will be hosting the webinar.
“Learning how to get the best out of all aspects of what drives the migration to Industry 4.0 is essential to accelerate its implementation. Webinars such as this will help accelerate the adoption curve, enabling our customers to realise the benefits of Industry 4.0 much sooner,” said Farnell’s Global Head of Supplier and Product Management, Simon Meadmore.
