Webinar: Why you should consider using C++ for your next Embedded Project

Electronics Weekly has joined forces with Doulos to discuss the benefits of using C++ for your next Embedded Project. It will consider how to produce code with comparable size and performance to traditional C approaches.

The one-hour webinar is taking place on Friday 2 March at 10-11am (GMT) (there’s also a later slot on the same day for North America – 10-11am (PST)).

Webinar Overview:

C++ has been a popular general purpose programming language for many years as it offers significant advantages over its C ancestor. Historically, C++ code written for 8-bit and 16-bit microcontrollers was often considered to give inferior results and many embedded software developers continued to use C. However, with the current generation of 32-bit microcontrollers, increasing complexity of applications and enhancements to the C++ standard it is now worth re-evaluating the use of C++.

This webinar will introduce the key features of C++ and show where they provide useful advantages over traditional C approaches while producing code with comparable size and performance. It will take a look at how to start using these features and dispel the myths surrounding them.

Dr David LongPrincipal Member Technical Staff, Dr David Long, from Doulos will be broadcasting this live training webinar, which will consist of a one-hour session, (see below for details) and will be interactive with Q&A participation from delegates.

Attendance is free of charge.

This webinar is brought to you in partnership with Electronics Weekly.

Content Summary:
– Technology, language standards and design methodologies
