Initially, the distributor will offer Trenz’s FPGA-based boards, including the Kintex-7 FPGA module, which has multi-Gbit transceivers, an Artix-7 35T module, with dual 100Mbit Ethernet transceivers, and an Artix-7 based module which has 32Mbyte of quad SPI flash memory and configurable I/O.
The modules target industrial applications and scientific research projects in embedded vision, industrial cameras, medical instruments, atomic force microscopy (AFM) and asic-emulation.
Other boards will follow, the company has announced a range of Xilinx Zynq SoC modules and starter kits, including the ZynqBerry FPGA module in the Raspberry Pi form-factor and based on the Zynq-7010 SoC and the UltraSOM+ module, which integrates the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC.
The distributor hopes that access to these SoC modules will provide easy-to-use components to accelerate integration of complex FPGAs into industrial and other systems. The FPGA and SoC modules are in stock now for businesses and educational establishments in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
